A new anime season has graced us with its presence. Here’s a peek at my watchlist for the Sprint 2018 Anime Season
My watchlist this season isn’t as vast as last season. Last season brought us many great anime. I followed 11 series to the end and 3 others have spilled over into this season. Of course, since this is only the first week of the Spring 2018 anime season, more series may be added to my watchlist as they air. But, for now, here are the series I started to watch.

Love To-LIE-Angle
This anime short is about a girl named Natsuno Hanabi, who moves back to the countryside for the first time in six years to attend high school. She expected to live in a luxurious mansion, but due to errors, ended up having to stay in a run-down apartment complex.
Her initial meetings with the apartment’s tenants don’t go over too well. She first sees a girl stark naked, angers another girl who she later remembers is a childhood friend, meets a drunk who doesn’t wear panties, and is comforted by the apartment’s busty manager.
I’m not into wild and crazy anime, but the first episode of this hooked me in a weird way. Let’s see where this series goes.

Comic Girls
This series is about a 15-year-old girl named Moeta Kaoruko, a manga artist under the pen name Kaos who specializes in 4-panel manga. Her manga doesn’t go over well with the readers, so her editor suggests moving into a dorm especially for female manga artists. There, she meets other manga artists, one who specializes in shoujo, another in shonen, and another in teen romance. With the help of her dorm mates, Moeta strives to become a better manga artist.
I love anime that focus on a protagonist working to become better at what they do. I look forward to watching Moeta reach her goal to becoming a better manga artist.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby
This anime is about a world where horse girls with unique names and incredible running abilities live alongside humanity. Horse girl Special Week moves from the country to the city to attend Tracen Academy, a prestigious school dedicated to horse girl training. Here, alongside her new classmates, Special Week will train hard to become “Japan’s #1 Horse Girl”.
Horse racing meets idol anime. That’s how I see this anime. The horse girls who finish top three in the race performs on the “Winners Stage”, with the winner of the race as the center. It’s got an interesting story, and, like Comic Girls, the protagonist is working to become better at what she does.

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online
LLENN is a player of a game filled with guns and steel – Gun Gale Online. Known for her speed and her pink outfit, she teams up with others for a Squad Jam and works to be the last team standing.
I’ve always been a fan of the Sword Art Online universe, so this series instantly became one I chose to follow.

Persona 5 the Animation
This series needs no introduction. It’s one of the big names to air this season. I loved watching people play the game (though it’s not my type of game), so I decided to follow the anime as well!
